Back To The Fifty's Basement

ROMA Award Winner

At Braden, we love when a client has a great experience. And when that satisfaction leads to new projects, it’s exciting for both us and the homeowner. After completing a main level remodel of the house, the owners returned to Braden to discuss plans for a basement remodel to complete the home update.

Not just any old basement remodel, the unique aspect of this project was the homeowners wanted the lower level update to embrace an eclectic, retro style. Working closely with the experts at Mark Gunstad Architecture, LLC, Braden created a plan and project schedule.

The materials used to create the throw-back style are really what make it stand out from the standard. Corrugated sheet metal, knotty pine wood paneling, tiled columns, cork and other materials create a throw-back style with modern amenities. Radius walls, opaque glass and VCT flooring (vinyl composition tile) add visual interest with superb durability qualities.

Not only was this project a lot of fun to work on, but the results earned Braden a ROMA award from the Builders Association of the Twin Cities. Do you have a unique idea for your basement remodel? Give us a call or fill out the “contact us” page and we’ll be in touch.
